Bruny Island
We have seen some wildlife here but just glimpses.
Yesterday we saw a echidna. Besides the Platypus this is the only egg bearing mammal.

We also saw a kookaburra, wallaby, parrots, but no kangaroos so far.
We hiked up Fluted Cape yesterday and had some magnificent views.
There are some real clean surf breaks here. But the water is colder than inTahiti.
Lots of explorers stopped on the coasts of Bruny Is. Tasman, Cook, Furneaux,Entrecastraux (sent to find La Perouse) and Flinders (who coined the name of the continent).
The aborigines were at a loss to do anything bout it. Violence and disease pretty much wiped them out. I’ve decided that if Aliens land I’m keeping as far away as possible.
We were looking to find the white wallaby that is in these parts and went on a hike in a nature preserve but these marsupials only come out at dusk so we will have to do some late night hikes.
The nature trail. No white wallaby’s.
