Sydney Sights
I love the audacity and spontaneity of the Aussies. Like Jessica Watson that sailed solo around the world at 16 and this beautiful architecture that by luck was realized to grace Sydney’s harbor. Morn Utzon’s proposal was pulled out of a pile of rejection by Saarinen and consequently won the competition. A bit like a lotus on the water or sails or a shell, it embodies this city. There are tiles that cover the whole and even if the inside is not as impressive it is a masterwork of world architecture.
Take a look at this link.

We went to see a production of Macbeth there and very much enjoyed it. It was too hot to do anything else and we were “knackered “ as the english say.
There are some very beautiful colonial buildings in Potts point where we stayed. It reminded me of old Mumbai in style with some New Orleans too.
An ibis, they are here and near water. It is very hot here.
The harbor here is massive and ferries are the transit of choice to get around.I wish San Francisco would have as many as here. Small inlets are very protected and there are communities that have grown up around them.
A full moon going down over the skyline of Sydney.
They all have a sailboat moored in their front water way.
