This is Linda and Smith, they were our hosts at the airbnb we just left.  She has been in Huahine for a year and working remotely. Smith is the guy in the other photo, he is a native and a big wave surfer, her partner.  They were very helpful and charming,  We are glad to be rid of the roosters crowing at 4:30 in the morning but otherwise the place was wonderful.
This is the new airbnb on the water south of Papeete.
This is Smith, he used to live on the north shore of Hawaii.  Many Tahitians we talked to have worked or lived in Hawaii. I think it is a place to find work that is not too different from what they know and like.

This is again the view from the balcony at the new place.  Tomorrow we plan to snorkel and kayak. Tahiti island is much more populated than Huahine and it is a shock to the system seeing the traffic jams on the coast road.
